Aviation Opportunities
Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) is Australia’s largest regional airport operator, with four strategically located airports — Gold Coast, Townsville, Mount Isa and Longreach. Our network connects millions of passengers each year across tourism, business and resources markets, giving airlines access to some of Queensland’s most dynamic regions. We provide tailored solutions and long-term partnerships that make QAL airports a compelling choice for growth and expansion.
Our Airports
Gold Coast Airport

Gold Coast Airport is the gateway to one of Australia’s most sought-after holiday destinations and the picturesque northern New South Wales region. As the sixth busiest international airport in Australia and the second largest in Queensland and New South Wales, it plays a pivotal role in driving tourism and travel.
Uniquely positioned on the Queensland–New South Wales border, Gold Coast Airport offers unparalleled convenience and accessibility for millions of passengers each year.
Townsville Airport

Townsville Airport serves as a vital gateway for the region’s tourism, mining, and defence sectors, and provides direct access to fly-in, fly-out opportunities across the North East and North West minerals provinces.
As Australia’s 11th busiest airport, it connects the largest city in northern Australia to both domestic and international markets. A major regional transport hub for business and leisure travellers, Townsville Airport plays a central role in supporting economic growth and long-term development across the region.
Mount Isa Airport

Mount Isa Airport services one of the most valuable, mineral-rich regions in the world and is the pulse of the local community. Located 8 kilometres from the city, it supports the mining sector, fly-in fly-out operations, and the broader regional economy, while providing essential connections to healthcare, education and other critical services.
Mount Isa Airport enables business, leisure, and FIFO travel to major Australian cities and beyond. It is a lifeline for the community, underpinning social and economic wellbeing and keeping North-West Queensland connected, prosperous and accessible.
Longreach Airport

Longreach Airport is the gateway for the Outback, servicing the central west Queensland region. Located just two kilometres from the town centre, it serves the Central West region, including Longreach, Winton, and Barcaldine.
Steeped in aviation history, Longreach Airport is part of the community's fabric, encouraging tourism, trade, and connections. It plays a vital role in enabling business, leisure, and essential travel, providing access to major Australian cities and beyond. By linking people, businesses and communities, Longreach Airport underpins economic activity, social wellbeing, and the ongoing growth of Outback Queensland.
Airline Partnerships
At Queensland Airports Limited (QAL), we are committed to building strong, collaborative partnerships that deliver long-term, sustainable growth. Across our four airports, Gold Coast, Townsville, Mount Isa, and Longreach, we’re dedicated to supporting both new and existing airline partners to achieve mutual success and drive sustainable growth.
We understand that in today’s competitive aviation landscape, lasting success requires working hand-in-hand with airlines, the tourism sector, trade partners and government agencies. Together, we ensure our airports not only maintain essential air services but also contribute meaningfully to the economic and social growth of the regions they serve.
QAL’s partnership approach includes the development of attractive incentive packages for new routes and capacity growth. These initiatives, often supported by government marketing funds, are designed to create value for airlines, passengers and the communities our airports serve.
By working collaboratively, we foster opportunities that support airline growth, enhance connectivity and strengthen regional economies.
