Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) has been officially named a top 5 finalist in the 2026 WORK180 Equitable Workplace Awards.

QAL was named a small to medium business finalist in three categories, including Pay Equity, Strategic Commitments, and Inclusive and Anti-Discriminatory Culture.

This achievement builds upon QAL’s recent endorsement as a WORK180 Employer for the third-year running.

QAL Chief Executive Officer Amelia Evans said she is incredibly proud that QAL has been recognised as an employer that is driving workplace equality.

“At QAL we are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone is fairly represented and has equal opportunity,” said Ms Evans.

“To receive recognition at a national level is a testament to the progress we’ve made this year, including our efforts towards closing the gender pay gap, where we ranked sixth out of 218 organisations for pay equity.

“The aviation industry has traditionally been made up of a significantly higher ratio of males than females, so to have women make up 43% of our workforce is a milestone we’re proud of.

“This achievement truly is a testament to our team’s commitment to fostering a culture where diversity, equity and inclusion is central and women's careers can thrive.”

QAL recognises the importance of all employers supporting gender equality and commends all the finalists who are actively paving the way for a more equitable future.
