Get to know the team
Adam Rowe
Chief Commercial Officer
Adam joined QAL in 2017 as General Manager Business Development and Marketing, before moving into the role of Executive General Manager Business Development and Marketing in July 2018 and Chief Commercial Officer in August 2021. Adam is responsible for driving both aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue, working with airline partners and tourism bodies to grow domestic and international capacity across QAL’s ports and maximising non-aeronautical revenue with precinct partners including retail, food and beverage, parking and ground transport. Adam has held a number of senior management and executive roles within the airline industry, working for Virgin Australia and Tigerair, and brings almost 15 years’ experience to this role.
Amanda Byrne
General Manager Aviation Business Development
With more than 20 years of aviation industry expertise, Amanda leads the retention and growth of airline capacity across Queensland Airports Limited’s four ports: Gold Coast Airport, Townsville Airport, Mount Isa Airport, and Longreach Airport. Amanda works closely with airline partners, tourism organisations, local governments, and key stakeholders to drive sustainable growth for current routes and explore new opportunities on the horizon.
Antonie Baradel
Aviation Business Development Manager
Antonie brings nine years of airline experience to the team, having previously held roles in Pricing at Qatar Airways and in Revenue and Cargo Management at British Airways. As part of our Aviation Business Development team, Antonie is focused on driving the retention and growth of airline routes and capacity at Gold Coast Airport, contributing to the success of our Aviation Strategy.
Craig DeGee
Aviation Business Development Analyst
Craig is a seasoned aviation and tourism professional with over 20 years of experience in business development, data analytics, and operational strategy. As an Aviation Business Development Analyst at Queensland Airports Limited (QAL), he drives growth by leveraging market insights, optimising airline partnerships, and identifying new opportunities. Previously, Craig held roles at LifeFlight Australia and Virgin Australia Airlines, managing aviation operations, network integrity, and crisis response.
